"Scarecrows as Folk Art"

Folk Art •  Drum Circle •  Annual Quilt Raffle
Join us for the Annual Chelsea Community Garden Scarecrow Exhibit.
Each year, gardeners and student artists create their individual interpretations of humanity's most ancient form of pest control, the scarecrow. As old as agriculture itself, scarecrows are a practical and beautiful way to keep fields and gardens safe from predators, especially birds. Traditionally scarecrows are set up just after planting and remain until harvest. Come see a garden full of them!

Saturday June 11th at 1:00 - 3:00 pm enjoy The Michael Limberakis Chelsea Art Walk Drum Circle!

Sunday June 12th at 1:00 - 3:00 pm  family activities include reading circles, seed plantings and garden exploration.
Meet our newly elected Chelsea City Councillors and School Committee members too.
