The Pearl Street Gallery is pleased to showcase
a retrospective of Juan DelMorals' early paintings
of Caracas, the intense tropical light of Barquisimeto
and terra cotta tile roofs of the colonial Spanish
architecture. Also on view are Juans’  recent
landscape paintings of Maine and Vermont.

ICONS of CHELSEA
Comprised of artworks loaned by members of the Chelsea Community and CHARCOLL (Chelsea Artists Collaborative),
ICONS of CHELSEA offers a glimpse of the abundant art, in varied mediums, that focus on the city itself and several of its well-known icons.
Views of the Tobin Bridge, Bellingham House, Melissa Shook’s Chelsea Community Gardens and Harry Siegelstreet photos of Chelsea residents from
the 40ies 50ies & 60ies, from a photo restoration project by John Kennard, are all on view in this small show at the BHCC Chelsea Campus.

Atlantic Works Gallery presents Something Out of Nothing, works by Leigh Hall, Martha McCollough, Michael St. Germain, Audrina Warren in which artists bring a motley assortment of objects and actions into play, including video, sculpture, photography, costumes, ceiling hooks, household junk, and more. Their goal is to dig up something of what's "under there" through creative destruction and reinvention. A paper shredder is involved.

Please Join our team ARTISTS ,FRIENDS, GARDENERS !! The annual ALS & MS Walk for Living is coming up on September 27. All the money raised goes directly to support the Leonard Florence Center. This Amazing State- of-the-Art center has become a prototype for other centers around the country.

Teaching Opportunity:

    My name is Sarah Pope and I am an Americorps National Teaching Fellow with the education nonprofit, Citizen Schools. We partner with Boston and Chelsea Public Schools to connect community members and area professionals to the classroom to provide middle school students with enriching activities.
    I'd like to discuss the classroom volunteer opportunities with members of the Chelsea Artists' Collaborative to see if there is any interest in a partnership between our organizations.
